The rhythm of bespoke timber slats. The play of light. Timeless elegance.
Can a 15-year-old family home be transformed into a modern, luxurious residence while preserving its original character? The garage, facades, retaining walls and outdoor sauna were given a unified, nature-inspired appearance. Each bespoke timber slat, crafted from African wood, was individually cut to size and fitted by hand, even around corners and uneven surfaces. Warm ambient and grazing lights highlight the natural wood grain, while the redesigned house blends harmoniously into the garden. Every slat reflects true craftsmanship. The same house. A completely new look.
Our client wanted to reimagine the appearance of a family home surrounded by a beautiful garden. The goal was to create an elegant, nature-inspired and timeless architectural design.
We brought together the garage, facades, retaining walls and outdoor sauna through bespoke cladding made from African timber. The rhythm of the vertical wooden slats and the natural wood grain gave the existing building a distinctive new character.
The secret behind this striking transformation lies in millimetre-perfect precision and individually crafted joints. Corners, uneven wall surfaces and changes in level demand exceptional craftsmanship and expertise. That is why we carefully cut every timber slat to size and fitted it by hand, adapting each piece to its exact position.
No standard solutions. Every slat has its own dimensions, position and purpose within the overall design. This attention to detail transforms the wooden cladding into a genuine work of craftsmanship.
We enhanced the natural beauty of the timber with warm ambient lighting and carefully designed grazing lights. During the day, the natural texture of the wood and contemporary architectural lines define the appearance. As evening falls, the interplay of light and shadow creates an entirely new atmosphere. The result is a harmonious architectural environment where the house, outdoor wellness area and garden become one.
The difference speaks for itself.
At the iSauna Design manufactory, we believe that timeless beauty does not necessarily begin with a new building. True design elevates existing values to a new level.
