Comprehensive Equestrian Facility Design
In this project, the wellness area was not added to an already completed house. During construction, our client raised the building level to create the space needed for a private indoor wellness complex that would become an integral part of the home. From the very beginning, the design followed the architectural structure of the house: proportions, lines, materials and complex construction details were all carefully coordinated. Our client also visited our manufactory, where we selected the defining wood species and finishes together. The goal was to create a unified space in which the wellness area blends naturally with the home's architectural character.
Creating an impressive wall surface is only part of the challenge. The most demanding details are often found around door openings, corners, material transitions and intersections between different wall planes. Where should the cladding end? How should a line continue around a corner? How should the elements maintain their rhythm beside an opening? These are the points where even a few millimetres can make a visible difference in the finished space.
We carefully developed these details during the design phase, then manufactured each custom element in our own manufactory to match the precise dimensions of the building. As a result, there was no need to improvise during installation: every component, finishing detail and connection had its designated place. The design of the wellness house was therefore not treated as a separate task but evolved alongside the building's architecture. The transitions between wood, glass and surrounding architectural elements received the same attention as the proportions of the larger surfaces.
For us, bespoke design does not end with a visualisation. We manufacture the individually designed elements in our own workshop, and our specialists carry out the installation on site. This allows us to oversee every detail from the initial design through manufacturing to the finished result. The finishing around a doorway, the treatment of a corner or the transition between two different materials is not decided on installation day. These details form part of the technical and architectural concept long before construction begins.
This continuity is especially important during installation. The specialists fitting the elements already understand the design principles, materials and complex construction details. Thanks to careful preparation, the entire on-site installation took just two days. During this time, every component we had previously designed together and prepared in our manufactory was installed in its final position.
The result is not a wellness area added as an afterthought, but a space that naturally complements the home through its proportions, materials and architectural lines. After the handover, our client summed up the result in a single sentence:
“It has become one of the jewels of our home!”
