Comprehensive Equestrian Facility Design
When we first introduced this project in Germany, we were still talking about visualisations, materials and technical decisions. At that stage, the nearly 100 m² private wellness house existed only on paper. Today, the building is complete, the handover has taken place, and the space we spent months developing through drawings, production details and material decisions has become reality. This is the point where the value of careful preparation becomes truly visible. The question is not simply whether the finished building resembles the original visualisation, but whether it carries the same concept, proportions and logic of use into the completed space.
The project began with several weeks of online consultation, followed by a personal visit from the client to our manufactory in Dunaszeg. It was clear from the beginning that this would not be a standard sauna cabin, but a large-scale, fully bespoke wellness house designed around the location and the client’s individual requirements.
At this scale, the challenge is not simply fitting more functions into the available area. The real task is to make the different zones, materials and circulation routes feel naturally connected. Glass surfaces, interior cladding, lighting and technical systems only work as one coherent environment when they are considered together from the earliest stages of the design process.
In our earlier article, the technical drawings and visualisations had been completed and production was about to begin. Since then, every line has become a physical structure and every material sample has become a finished surface. Our manufactory is where not only the individual components are produced, but also the details that ultimately define the quality of the finished space.
A connection between materials, the proportion of a glass wall, the transition between two surfaces or the position of a technical element may appear insignificant on its own. Yet together, these details determine whether a wellness house simply feels assembled or forms one coherent whole. For us, production is therefore not a separate stage that follows design. It is a direct continuation of it.
Installation is one of the most visible stages of a project like this, but the site itself should no longer be the place where fundamental solutions are invented. Instead, everything that has been prepared over the previous months needs to come together precisely. Structural elements, glazing, cladding and technical systems are installed step by step until the former visualisation becomes a fully functional building.
This is also the stage where the quality of preparation becomes impossible to hide. A well-designed detail works. If something has not been resolved properly, it becomes immediately visible. For this reason, on-site installation is not a separate task for us. It is also the final confirmation that the decisions made during planning work just as well in reality.
A completed wellness house can easily be described in square metres, materials and technical specifications. At handover, however, there is a more important question: did the client receive what they had imagined during those first conversations?
We are no longer looking at visualisations. We are looking at a finished, usable space where the original concept, the work completed in our manufactory and the on-site installation all meet within one building. That is what makes a completed project truly interesting. We can return to the first plans, place them beside the finished result and see what remained unchanged, where the concept evolved and how the original design became a real space.
Behind a nearly 100 m² bespoke wellness house are countless decisions, consultations and production details. In the completed building, however, these elements should no longer compete for attention. The aim is for the entire space to feel coherent, effortless and designed specifically for its location.
When we first presented this project, production had not yet begun. Today, we can show the completed and handed-over wellness house. These two stages tell the story together: one shows what we intended to create, the other shows what has actually been built.
